Acceptable Use Policy

Gize holds financial records and personal data. This policy exists to keep the service safe for everyone using it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Use Gize to
- Track and file legitimate tax and statutory obligations for entities you are entitled to act for.
- Store business records — receipts, invoices, filings, audit correspondence.
- Give colleagues and clients access appropriate to their role.
Do not use Gize to
- Break the law — including falsifying tax records, evading tax, or creating records intended to mislead an authority. We will cooperate with a lawful request from a competent Ethiopian authority.
- Access data you are not entitled to — including probing the API, attempting to reach another entity's records, or sharing your session.
- Store illegal or harmful material in the vault.
- Upload malware or attempt to compromise the service or its users.
- Abuse the infrastructure — automated bulk requests, scraping, or circumventing rate limits.
- Resell or white-label Gize without a written agreement with us.
- Create accounts in bulk or impersonate another person or organisation.
If something goes wrong
If we find a breach of this policy we may, depending on severity, warn you, suspend the account, or end the agreement. Where the breach is serious and unlawful we may report it.
Because documents may be within a legal retention window, suspension stops access but does not by itself delete records. We will tell you what we have done and why.
Found a security problem?
Tell us before telling anyone else, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a vulnerability responsibly and does not exploit it, access other people's data, or degrade the service while testing.
